Challenge:
This evaluation plan looks at an existing teacher induction program, describes the processes currently in place, and makes recommendations about the existing program to improve its overall effectiveness using Kirkpatrick's Framework for evaluation. This is a concept project, as it was not fully implemented and was designed for a course on evaluation.
Solutions:
The evaluation plan I created makes several recommendations that account for the best possible changes for the participants in the teacher induction program. Some of these suggestions include the implementation of digitized forms to limit the abundance of paperwork that teachers are already dealing with and to increase task completion speed. The evaluation forms supplied are all suggested to be available in paper and digital formats and accessed through many different means, making them more readily accessible to a wider group. Other recommendations about the actual instruction include personalization of the content based on individual participant need which will make it easier to reach a diverse group of learners.

Result:
To be successful, the program created would meet the following objectives:
1. ABC Day School wants to ensure that their induction program is meeting its objectives and goals which are as follows:
a. Familiarize the new teacher with program policies and procedures
b. Create a support system of experienced educators for the new educators
c. Encourage reflective practices
2. ABC Day School wants to ensure that new teachers are feeling supported and knowledgeable in their new school environment through the use of systematic assessment.
3. ABC Day School wants to obtain information about recommendations for how to improve their teacher induction program.
4. ABC Day School wants to collect and measure data about teacher retention and turnover at their school as it relates to the new teacher induction program and new teacher training (turnover at 20% or less is the goal).
