About Me
I'm Melissa!
Thank you for taking the time to view my portfolio. I'm Melissa Goetz, an instructional and learning designer from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. With 10 years of direct instructional experience, I bring a passion for learning and training. I have extensive experience in creating learning experiences that meet the needs of a diverse group of learners. I use data to drive my lessons from the needs analysis to the course/material evaluation to ensure my courses and materials achieve results.
I have a Master's of Science in Education Degree from Purdue University in Learning Design and Technology. I also hold a level 2 Pennsylvania teacher's certificate in elementary and special education. I have a Bachelor's of Arts in Education from Waynesburg University, where I also minored in English.
My husband and I own and operate a small business that partners with local bars and restaurants to host trivia nights. We also work with local organizations on fundraising and team building events.
Outside of learning and instructional design, I enjoy musical theater, Penn State football, traveling, and all things "Dog Mom".
I look forward to working with you soon!
